Excellent opportunity for an analyst to join one of the world's truly iconic banks in their Italian coverage team.
The Italian team are generally occupied with listings in Milan; utilising the bank's UK distribution team to get the deals over the line.
This is a small team and everyone is expected to contribute to transactions in a number of capacities. In many instances the companies being brought to market have generated little publicly available information so the ability to improvise and research cleverly is essential to allow you to generate interesting ideas. The team targets mid market Italian firms not the big ticket deals. You will execute IPOs and be expected to contribute to the coordination, valuation and broking of these deals. You will benefit from working alongside two very experienced senior Italian bankers and will get full exposure to the full deal life cycle and the opportunity to build relationships with the main protagonists yourself. It resembles a boutique with the clout of a household name bulge bracket bank behind it.
The team is sector-agnostic but have a history in entertainment, industrials, mining, Real Estate and FIG. Candidates must be genuinely bi-lingual with an appreciation of both British and Italian commercial culture.
Training is first rate - classroom training overseas in modeling 'boot camp' and on-the-job training by two seasoned bankers.
This role would suit an ambitious individual who is open to weekly travel to Italy. ACAs (or equivalent considered) or experienced investment bankers or bilingual candidates who missed the analyst round at the bulge bracket.
