Equity Analysts for the Investment Research team at US Bulge Bracket bank. Transport, Business Support Services, Food Manufacturing, Metals & Mining, Engineering & Capital Goods, Paper & Packaging.

The client, a US bulge bracket bank, has the biggest global investment research arm and the second biggest in Europe. The team has stabilised at 180 analysts, 50/60 of whom are associates. They enjoy a very low rate of attrition with virtually no losses to other bulge bracket banks.
Other than current equity analysts the bank likes to look for people from industry, practice and investment banking.
Research is slit into sectors, target company size, strategic and regions.
Candidates, invited to apply for entry level up to VP, need to be good at writing and communicating their view and good with numbers.
Specific vacancies:
In house training is very good - CFA can be sponsored, accounting and valuation training is offered including 1-on-1 tutorials, an in house university offers a variety of modules, report writing training, understanding clients training, etc
An associate development programme is run regionally to identify fast-track associates. This programme allows for mid year promotions, spells overseas, lunch with CEO Europe etc
Progression is graduate, associate, analyst, VP, Director, MD
