A Leading UK bank is currently recruiting for a number of positions within their Sector Coverage teams to be based in East Sussex and Kent.
The Specific Sector Coverage teams looking to recruit are Retail, Industrials, Property, Manufacturing, Wholesale and Leisure.
TASKS- Demonstrate a deep understanding of the key clients and markets within the relevant Sector teams and use this understanding to drive additional value out of existing client relationships and deliver new clients/income streams supporting the bank's strategic objectives. - Personally cover a portfolio of sophisticated Corporate clients as ‘franchise owner' in conjunction with Portfolio Management & Relationship Management and create and maintain robust relationship plans- Ensure MCB sees every deal in our market and is seen as the bank of choice for market intermediaries - Undertake detailed financial analysis including debt capacity analysis, complex modeling, valuation and debt structuring for both existing and target customers- Be aware of financing and risk management trends in the Sector to develop innovative solutions and have the ability to spread best practices to the benefit of our clients
SKILLS- A track record of generating new/innovative income streams and building outstanding client relationships, ideally in the mid-large Corporate space- Have a good overall knowledge of Corporate Finance, DCM products and risk management techniques- Proven ability to undertake detailed risk analysis and complex debt structuring- In-depth knowledge of relevant bank systems, processes and products with a strong market awareness and an appreciation of the economic and financial outlook- Proven ability to prepare and deliver a mandate winning pitch Developed negotiation and networking skills- A good working knowledge of our key product partners Achieved or be working towards appropriate professional qualificationsOther Significant Role Requirements: - Lead, develop, implement and monitor robust Sector strategies in conjunction with Portfolio Management - also to develop sector specific knowledge for the benefit of client and bank- Work closely with Product specialists to identify opportunities to both differentiate the bank from the competition and increase our share within the relevant sector- Identify and develop excellent relationships with all key market intermediaries involving an active call program- Proven well-developed inter-personal skills and the ability to establish robust relationships both internally and externally- Able to make comprehensive and relevant presentations of the highest quality to clients, prospects, intermediaries and credit committee.
